I have worn a mask every time I've left my house for like a year. When the CDC said I no longer had to wear it (I am fully vaccinated) outdoors unless I was in a really crowded area, I stopped wearing it outside, including on the playground. I always carry one with me (in case it actually got crowded, which it never does) and if someone asked me to put it on, I would. Otherwise, I've been conservative about this, and feel no need to continue wearing it outdoors.
This is pretty reasonable. Reasons to wear a mask might be: 1. if playground - or school pickup area, etc - got very crowded, as they sometimes do during COVID 2. if wearing one helped with kids keeping their masks on (serving as a model for them) 3. if you were going in and out of doors, and it was easier to leave it on than fuss with it
