For the same reason my husband takes out the garbage instead of me - sure, I'm capable of doing it too, but I'd rather someone else do it. He feels the same way about shopping, plus it's easier to make one big order with things for everyone in the family together rather than a bunch of separate purchases. Clothing though is a personal thing. Garbage is not. Do you pack his suitcase for business trips too? That is way too personal for me to do for DH, and I'd never let DH pack my bag for a trip (?)[/quote]

Clothing is only a personal issue if it's something you care about - my husband doesn't care enough to make time for clothes shopping. I don't mind it, so I do it, just like he doesn't mind taking out the trash. He doesn't travel for business, and when we travel as a family he packs his own stuff. [/quote]
