Clothing is only a personal issue if it's something you care about - my husband doesn't care enough to make time for clothes shopping. I don't mind it, so I do it, just like he doesn't mind taking out the trash. He doesn't travel for business, and when we travel as a family he packs his own stuff.

Don't love a helpless man but what is worse is that most of the stuff DH wears, his mother buys him. My nerdy DH dresses like a 70 year old man. Nerds are smart but not when it comes to fashion. Hipster nerds yes, are pretty snappy dressers but the true nerd, nope.

Not true in my house! I do plenty to manage the household and rear the children, in addition to being the major income generator. I draw the line at dressing my DH, who is perfectly capable of getting himself to Brooks Brothers to buy clothes.

I can't speak for other women, but I buy most of DH's clothes because he has very little free time. I'm a SAHM. We'd rather spend his free time on family activities rather than shopping together.


We both work full time outside the home and we each buy our own clothes. Online, while we're sitting around the house at night after the kids have gone to bed. Doesn't interfere with family activities.

No. I responded earlier on this thread but DH picks out his own shirts--assumed the OP was more interested in where the shirts come from than who buys them.

This is absurd. DH is a total nerd gets paid big bucks (CTO) but he never looks good because he is a nerd! I question your DH's nerd status. He either doesn't work with nerds (totally surrounded by business jerks) or isn't a true nerd.
