I just got a one piece I love from Albion Fit. I also have some I like from Summersalt, though you have to read the descriptions (I have a somewhat long torso and they don't all work well, though some do).
P.S. I think tankinis look horrible on everyone unless you have a perfect, flat lower stomach. A bikini looks better.
Huh? What do you think a tankini is, exactly?
NP. Not sure exactly what PP means but I do agree tankinis are not flattering. I have a long waist so I know a major reason people buy them is because it's really hard to find one-pieces that fit when you are long-waisted. But it's really hard to get a flattering fit on a tankini. If the top is fitted, it will tend to ride up, which will actually emphasize your stomach area, not conceal it. And if the top is looser, you have extra bulk around your midsection. I'd much rather put the extra legwork into finding a one-piece that fits, or a bikini I don't hate (this is almost impossible) than give into the tankini.
This is PP and yes. I am talking about the traditional fit of a tankini that ends a couple of inches above the top of the bottoms, exposing just a little bit of skin around the lower stomach. I do not find this look flattering because it highlights what is the widest part of most women, right around the hips. If it overlaps with the bottom, this issue does not exist, but a normal bikini also doesn't create this issue either because a wider expanse of skin is exposed. I have a high hip to waist ratio so may be more focused on this; it probably matters less for an overall narrow or more athletic body type.
