The NYTimes article cited by a PP was based on health workers in the U.S., where the other variants were not yet circulating. In fact, the reason the J&J vaccine had lower efficacy was because it was partially tested in South Africa.

There have been reinfected people since last March.  But not many.  The vaccines are effective against all the variants, both J&J and the mRNA vaccines.  Remember, the WHO was looking for above 60%.  They are all well above 60% against all variants.  Sure, boosters are good, because capitalism.  But we don't need to wait for boosters to reopen.
