The options were DL or In Person.

Those opting for DL should be doing so because of the priority of health and safety for that family. Those choosing in person have prioritized education as a greater benefit to the risks involved.

Picking DL over in person because 2 days a week is less appealing than 4 days a week does not mean the school system is asinine.

We all knew that if you’re already in person 2 days a week then if the school ever decides to extend the in person days, then it would be that group of kids. Having more than them would go over the restricted mitigation limits and put you right back at hybrid.

Nope. The choice was full time DL or hybrid 2 days/week. The choices have changed therefore everyone gets to make a new decision based on the new rules. You are just worried your Larla won’t be able to go 4 days/week if more people opt in. Selfish much?[/quote]

Why did you not anticipate this possibility? We all watched many things change in real time in the fall. Did you think that was it, no more changes? Did you think this scenario was somehow off the table? If so...why? The school board and other leadership have been pretty clear about trying as hard as possible to get kids back to school. Agree with the other PP...common sense. I don't understand how anyone can be shocked or blindsided by the decision.[/quote]

You just said it yourself, things have changed. Kids who signed up for 2 days a week get to change to 4 days a week but you think those kids who signed up for DL shouldn’t be able to make any changes? If you think it’s too late for changes, let’s just keep everyone with exactly what they signed up for, DL or 2 days hybrid. Let me guess, though, you’re not okay with that. Changes which benefit your child are okay .. everyone else can just suck it up...  it’s all moot anyway because the LCPS teacher posted they will accommodate everyone.  Your selfishness in implying DL kids shouldn’t be able to make changes because it could affect your kid being able to go 4 days is sad, though, and says a lot about who you are as a person...[/quote]

It's your fault you signed up for DL now your crying because you screwed up. It was clear things could change. It could have gone the other way and the DL kids could be forced back into all hybrid. Hybrid kids are still hybrid with Mondays off. [/quote]
