I'm part Venezuelan and the convo sounds both private and innocuous. TBH, Venezuelan speaking English accents are cute. When my family does it, a lot of the words they pronounce sound cute. This. None of us can live up to our own expectations. she needs a thicker skin and I lost a lot of respect for her. She just ruined 2 lives when a warning could have been sufficient. the world is becoming a boring place when we can't even make fun of each other anymore.[/quote]

I do wish that she and the employees had talked to one another to iron it out.   I feel badly for Navarro because it was public and that's probably why she feels a need to publicly respond.  But part of this story could have been she has spoken to the employee (one is a permanent county employee) in person and given her a chance to apologize.  Or whatever.   We've lost the ability to see one another as human and not a press opportunity.  [/quote]
