Yes, in the places that you deem "real America," the drawing board is different. Most kids there would never consider an Ivy League school. The big decision is which state school (in SC, Clemson, USC or maybe the Cof C if you really want to party), or a SLAC in the area. Naturally, a hierarchy of sorts develops even among schools at this level and for the people who live in that area. Generally, Clemson is considered the hottest ticket.[/quote]
