I have always maintained this. Your best defense against a handgun is your 4000 lb car.

Interestingly this past summer during the BLM protests quite a few of the protesters were indignant about being run over or nearly run over after trying to pull drivers out of cars or brandishing weapons on them. There was even a case in Georgetown.[/quote]

I don't think that you have fired a gun before. A 9mm bullet being fired from 100 ft, is no match for a 4000 lb car being accelerated to 30 mph.

I'd still rather just give up my fully insured car than (a) take a chance on the bullets hitting me or (b) kill or seriously injure someone, even if that person is trying to take my car -- if only to spare myself the additional psychological trauma from that part of an already obviously horrific incident.[/quote]
