This is OP. I paid the $$. It was a complete waste. It would have been useful if I truly had no idea what to do or if it was a major change like going from kindergarten teacher into to business. My career change was relatively minor so it was not helpful.
I’m working with a career coach and it’s sort of like therapy. Depending on who you get, they can give you a boost of confidence, conversation which we all crave but don’t get anymore and some helpful insider tips for your resume, interview etc. I don’t think one really needs a coach, you really just need to do some deep reflecting and research. Sometimes it’s a pain because they try to challenge you and most seem more extroverted so for an introvert like me, it’s exhausting. However, I do see some soft people skills that develop from the interactions that are useful in interviews.
