This was only for 2 30 minute sessions but she was very efficient with our time and she really helped me find clarity about what I was looking for. 3 months later, I've just landed my dream job. So yes, I say it's worth it but shop around $2k seems ridiculous.
Can you name the coach you worked with?
I am the previous poster who just went through it and paid $120. The firm is called Clearly Next https://clearlynext.com/ (Perfect name btw). They will refer you to a coach and I had a free consultation. I worked with Amy Ames.

Anonymous wrote:This is OP. I paid the $$. It was a complete waste. It would have been useful if I truly had no idea what to do or if it was a major change like going from kindergarten teacher into to business. My career change was relatively minor so it was not helpful.

Makes me crazy, because for what we are paying her (over $7k per year), we could go on a nice vacation, put more away for college, and so many other things! But no, he has to chat with her about his career...
Is that all they talk about? Why would anyone need to continue w career coaching once a position is secure? Keeping a therapist yes. Coach, why?
