Does anyone know? Elementary parent here. Realized I have no idea why there’s no school but hours of homework for the parents to oversee. Kindergarten parent. Any insight would be appreciated.
Because the teachers are getting spa treatments and taking day-cations.
As always content teachers (math, ELA, science, ss) are doing the MOST work right nows and getting the most crisitism. While VPs, coaches, special subject teachers (art, pe, music) are doing next to nothing and flying under the radar because you all don’t care about them. Sure this is a generalization some are working hard, but if you’re looking at who is at the spa it isn’t the teacher who sees your child daily and is trying to do their best to teach them to read and write virtually. -signed, former teacher who knows how it works.
This is very true. I teach a core subject in HS and I am exhausted. Wednesdays are not relaxing as we attempt to do small groups.
