My aunt worked on the show and dished behind the scenes about how Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel couldn't stand each other and weren't very nice to work with. Likewise for Lauren and the guy who played Luke. She said the nice ones were Sally Struthers and Miss Patty. And she said the girl who played April was a sweetheart. That whole plot line, of course, was cooked up by the replacement writers who were brought in to muck everything up so they could eke out another season. Such a shame. If ASP had been allowed to end it on her terms it would have been much better.

Here's what really annoyed me: 
- the older I got the more Lorelai's behavior toward her mother seemed less like well-placed rebellion against the excesses of wealth and more like rudeness. 
- Doula as a baby name. Geez

Things to love about it: 
- Rory is an unapologetic nerd
- Suki is awesome and they NEVER ever mention Melissa McCarthy's weight. It's just irrelevant.

And finally - we wouldn't have Marvelous Mrs. Maisel without this. This is like the little sister to that show, where ASP is allowed to create at full power and creative control with a cinematic budget. A glory to behold. Do all of you who hate fast-talking mind it in Marvelous Mrs. Maisel? How could they? [/quote]

Them not getting along sounds like a rumor. I read elsewhere that the daughter from Parenthood and Alexis B. have a fake feud over who is the better daughter. That doesn't sound like people who don't get along.

I did hear that Luke IRL and Lorelei IRL had a strained relationship. [/quote]
