My mom did ALL the right things about talking early and often and no judgement and all that, she was sex positive even though it was NOTHING like her upbringing and she herself was pretty conservative about sex, but wanted us to be able to come to her. She could guess ABOUT when I had sex but there is no way she knows 100%. It wasn't in a relationship setting. I just DID NOT want to talk to her about sex, some kids find it weird to talk to their parents about sex. What is important is they know that they CAN. That was very reassuring.[/quote]
