I have a 4 yo and 18 mo old now. I tell the 4 yo all the time don't climb up the slides because someone could be trying to come down them and it's at best rude and at worst really unsafe - some big kid could come barrelling down the slide and knock her down. It says right on the signs at the park "no climbing up the slides" - it's not like a rule I made up. So I'm trying to get my daughter to follow this rule and meanwhile the daycare teachers are letting their kids do whatever they want. It sets a bad example and it is legitimately unsafe and prevents other kids from safely using the playground.[/quote]
