Typical DCUM thread -- OP: My DC likes Wake Forest. What other schools are like Wake Forest? Answer: Wake Forest is full of Southern People. DC doesn't really like it. Answer to actual question: Harder to get into: Emory About the same: Tulane, University of Miami Easier to get into: SMU, TCU, Baylor, Louisville
Louisville is literally one of the worst universities in the country. Not even close to any of the others you mention.
LOL there are 4K non-profit unis in this country and many (most?) of them have 95+% acceptable rates and less than 40% grad rates. I can guarantee Louisville is no where near the bottom!!
NP here. OP asked about schools that were comparable to Wake Forest. How is Louisville comparable to Wake Forest? Wake: 8,000 students, suburban campus, avg SAT 1390, avg ACT 31, acceptance rate 29% Louisville: 23,000 students, urban campus, avg SAT 1190, avg ACT 25, acceptance rate 70% Louisville might not be the worst school, but it's certainly not in Wake's league.
Having lost on the "it doesn't belong on the list based on quality argument," you've shifted to the "it's not really the same!" argument. Guess what? NO university is exactly the same as WF because they aren't WF. These are options that DC can spend five minutes looking at on line and dismiss out of hand, if they wish. Let me guess -- you're one of the "Emory is NOT elite!" posters from the WSJ article thread? Why don't you post something helpful to someone rather than just tearing down everyone else's suggestions? Are you like this in everyday life, or only on line?
What are you talking about? I'm supporting PPs argument that UL doesn't belong on the list based on quality, and ADDING that it's not a similar type school either. OP is interested in Wake and "comparable"/"similar" schools. UL is neither comparable nor similar. Not comparable in quality and not similar in type. Please stop with this. You're embarrassing yourself.
So, you’re not denying that you’re the one bashing Emory on the other thread? And, btw, there’s more than one person disagreeing with you here. In fact, I think there are several.
