From the mail? Seriously? You should probably talk to a doctor. And by doctor, I mean psychiatrist.
The science is on MY side, not yours. The virus can live up to four days on paper on cardboard surfaces. So when you cough and get your germs on a box of cereal at Safeway on Thursday, and that box of cereal is delivered to me on Saturday, I could get infected. You are sociopathic.
The science was on your side in March but that was when everyone was guessing. Read some of the more recent publications and use some logic. If surface contact was a major or even somewhat prevalent mode of transmission, we'd have all had it by Memorial Day. If an infected person coughs on your cereal box on Thursday and you immediately lick the box in the store, you'll probably get sick. If you avoid licking cereal boxes, you'll probably be fine. Or just stay home. Doesn't really matter to me. What's more worrisome are the movie theaters and other gatherings. Do all of them really have enough ventilation to prevent spread through aerosols?
