This is op. She is 5, and she is expected to wear cloth mask full day in September. My bad, I already bought 20 old navy kid cloth mask. She has small face, and I did so many researches before I made the purchase. When kid wear pleat cloth mask, are those pleats supposed to be stretched out to cover more than half of face (almost touching eyelashes to chin bottom) or stayed in place ( don’t stretch the pleats)? I am willing to get different masks to try out if it is for the kid sake. Where can I I get the one that comes out, like dog nose ones for kids? I mean those pp mention above the mask with a stiff curved seam down the nose & also down the mouth, so that they are less likely to touch the face/nose/mouth? Are they breathable or have nose wire piece in it? How do wash them if they have a nose wire piece? Thank you.
The pleats are supposed to be expanded so that the mask goes from over the nose to down under the chin. If they aren't expanded than it's much thicker than it should be and might make it harder to breathe.
