Are they breathable or have nose wire piece in it? How do wash them if they have a nose wire piece?

The pleats are supposed to be expanded so that the mask goes from over the nose to down under the chin. If they aren't expanded than it's much thicker than it should be and might make it harder to breathe.[/quote]
