I would assume with everyone seeing these numbers people would change behavior? Masks should a national thing.
I was talking to a friend in Wisconsin today. She said basically everyone stopped wearing masks. She was astounded to hear it's mandatory in MD when going to a public place indoors. I was astounded it's not required there -- I assumed all states were doing this.
I'm afraid not. Nowhere around me (southeast) that I know of, I see about 1 in 10 folks wearing masks. Maybe 2-3/10 if you count the people wearing the mask down on their necks, etc. Have seen a couple using a mask to hold their hair back? Insanity.
Yeah I’m also in Wisconsin and once the state started reopening about a month ago, I’ve seen fewer and fewer people wearing masks when I go to the grocery store (we don’t go anywhere else indoors in public so I don’t know about mask frequency in other places). I’d say about 1/10 people at Costco were wearing masks last time I went and previously Costco had been one of the places where most people seemed to be masked/distanced before so that was a big change. I get a lot of weird looks/smirks/gawks for wearing my mask.
