I was talking to a friend in Wisconsin today. She said basically everyone stopped wearing masks. She was astounded to hear it's mandatory in MD when going to a public place indoors. I was astounded it's not required there -- I assumed all states were doing this.
Ask you friend to send us some pics next time she goes to the store.
NP. I’m in the Northeast (Appleton/Green Bay Area) and I’d say about 1/5 to 1/4 wears masks depending on location.
My ILs are in Eau Claire and they say maybe 10%-20% are wearing masks. So, about the same.
Milwaukee County has had a higher percentage of mask users. I would say about 50%. When I go grocery shopping at 7am only the most serious about the virus are there for the most part and about 80% wear masks.

I live in Tucson and yes- Ducey prohibited it. Otherwise Tucson and Phoenix proper would enact mask laws I think.
We are also having terrible wildfires here in Tucson so that is taking focus from covid-19. My neighborhood has been on “set” (ready to evacuate at a moments notice) since Thursday. Many friends did evacuate and have had to stay with family or in hotels which really doesn’t help matters in terms of spread.
As a European i just cannot understand why someone would prohibit a jurisdiction from having a mask law. It's just so devastatingly selfish.

Anonymous wrote:I’m not sure if it’s generally true or just for my specific situation, but my Dr. advised against travel to AZ due to a flare up of a chronic condition. She basically considered it a medical wasteland and that I would need to go to San Diego or back to DC for proper treatment.
I can’t imagine that limited high quality medical care is helpful right now.

I'm afraid not. Nowhere around me (southeast) that I know of, I see about 1 in 10 folks wearing masks. Maybe 2-3/10 if you count the people wearing the mask down on their necks, etc. Have seen a couple using a mask to hold their hair back? Insanity.
