I think this is similar to telling my daughter that if she must be in casual relationships, if she has a choice having them with women is less risky than having them with men. It's not exactly a comfortable conversation, but it's not impossible. My kids know that I don't want them smoking weed or drinking alcohol, but because of a family history of schizophrenia, the alcohol is probably safer until their brains are fully formed. That's not suggesting they go out and get drunk, it's letting them know particular information that is relevant for them, and might help them make relatively smarter choices. [/quote]
