My friend’s sister is a L&D nurse. She tested positive for COVID-19 along with 10+ nurses in the unit. I wouldn’t want to give birth before this situation is resolved.
  Is this at a DMV-area hospital, PP? I'm due to give birth in a few weeks, and this is a huge concern of mine. I keep seeing people posting about how L&D is separate from most other parts of a hospital, nursing staffs are separate, etc...but I just don't see how they can guarantee that your delivery team is covid-free. There are some very small studies coming out now that there is a possibility of vertical transmission from mother to fetus, but no indications that the illness is "severe" in those newborns.
