Exactly!

I think college coaches are good for people who are:
- lazy, and not willing to read / research the process together with their child
- disorganized, and need someone to keep the track of all the deadlines
- have anxiety or other mental issues that makes all the college application a nightmare for both, child and parent.
- I can’t think of any other reason why would anyone waste their money on college coach.

Actually, I’m “a normal average person who can read English,” but my DC has certain learning challenges, so we hired a consultant to help us identify schools that would be a good fit for her. This isn’t always necessarily about a “lazy” parent or one with mental health issues. Parents hire consultants for any number of reasons, many times because they have a kid with atypical concerns, not because it’s about THEM. Your post is rude and only considers the issue from one perspective. [/quote]
