I am a lifelong Democrat, and called myself liberal for many years, and even I don’t identify with what’s happening with activist wing. And I say activist wing because I know many many many other Democrats don’t identify with it either. It’s a small segment. Democrats are middle class, blue collar, poor, upper middle class, and rich. It’s a big party, and we’re all united by a feeling the government should help people instead of corporations, among other things. But most Democrats also want criminals in jails, safe communities, excellent schools, low taxes, a strong booming economy. This is common sense stuff. When Democrats candidates start talking about keeping communities safe, and improving economy, THEN they will be competitive again! [/quote]
