This is hilarious and also somewhat sad. I am the OP and you guys have made a million assumptions about me, the bride, the wedding, whether or not I’m in the party, and whether or not it is appropriate or not for me to match my daughter and if that is upstaging the bride or not when you literally know nothing. Zero. About the situation. Or our family. Or me. Or the bride. Thanks to all who were helpful and provided suggestions, the rest of you can go stew in your own bitter juices of judgement and misery.
You do know that you went from "going to a wedding" to having your three year old be a flower girl that you "have to" walk down the aisle. I've been to weddings where this might have been necessary. If you were in the wedding party, this would be easier. But, if you are not, do you really think the bride wants an "adult flower girl?" That's kind of what it sounds like if you wear the same outfit as the flower girl. But, you do you.
