My gosh! Why is it so important to do sports for you all? Do you even realize how few kids get to play on the high school team? And how many kids get scholarships? Why the madness? Instead spend quality time with your children and let them enjoy their childhood- -parent of a happy , well adjusted college kid who avoided all the sports madness yet kid ended up at a top school
Because it is enjoyable, social and good for overall fitness. Maybe my son will play in high school, likely he won’t, but he’s never mentioned it either way. He likes hanging out with teammates.
Ditto. And I’m actually sitting at one of those practices right now, which ends at 9:00 pm. There are around 100 kids practicing on the fields here. Doesn’t seem like madness to me, looks like they’re having fun playing a sport they love. DS finished his homework (no prompting either) and had dinner already so he’s good.
