We did the separate pillow top since we weren't sure we would like it and we can return just the pillow top. If we purchased the mattress with pillow top attached and exchanged for the non-pillow top, the second mattress wouldn't have the one year trial period. I also purchased the mattress cover and am extremely happy with it. All seems very well made but we shall see how it lasts. [/quote]
