Its one thing to invite a single kid and your friend to the pool. Another thing entirely to invite a pack of kids and their parents when none of said parents have partial ownership of the pool or in anyway contribute to HOA dues.

Every building is different, but my child and I were just at a birthday party held at a Bethesda condo recently with 20 kids, loads of adults, and even live animals. The only people who weren’t there were the cops.[/quote]

Was your host an owner?

Were other owners present with their kids?

Did the host make a reservation agreement with the board?

All that makes a difference. If there were live animals present, I guarantee your host at least contacted the board to make sure this was kosher, if not paid a fee.[/quote]
Host was the owner (just like in this case), but the kids were from school and summer camp and some family. None were from the building except the birthday kid. Not sure what arrangements she made with the building (just like in this case).[/quote]
