No idea what has happened over the past 20 years or so, but a lot of her friends in high school were POC and from what I can see from her Facebook these days that is still the case. I haven't talked to her in person for over 20 years, so who knows what the situation is but I know that she never had stellar communication skills, so her approach was probably not great off the bat and then it most likely escalated to calling the police for whatever reason. Of course there's always a chance it was motivated by racism, but that wouldn't be my gut feeling in this situation.
You haven't seen this woman in 20 years. Who someone was in high school isn't a fair representation. You probably barely talked to her in high school and from your post were probably a mean girl to her.
So you're saying you'd rather just assume a stranger is a racist based off of a social media post rather than taking the word of someone who actually knew her at some point in her life and has access to her current social media? And where do you get mean girl from this post? Are you sure you actually comprehend what the poster wrote?
Anonymous wrote:The accusations of racism don't smell right to me in this case, especially if the original call said 30 people at the pool, and this lady posting on FB is only showing a photo of 10 cute kids as though the caller was just ranting about a few kids who happen to be of color being in the pool. Lady posting on FB seems to be leaving out a few important details.

The police should not have been involved. We don't know the policy of their HOA as far as guests, guest fees, etc.
DP here. I own a condo and I've never heard of any condo association that allows guests to have a PARTY of people there. Any more than 5 would be against the rules.
Its clear the owner and the owners' friend didn't go through the board or reserve off the area (which you usually can't do for the pool, just the room to the side).
It's ridiculous. Because the friend knows for a group like this and a private pool party at a business, she'd be paying $500 - $1,000 a day.
Even her post says she was there for at least 4 hours!

That said -- the person hosting the pool party for her child? wasn't even the condo owner but the condo owner's friend.
Its one thing to invite a single kid and your friend to the pool. Another thing entirely to invite a pack of kids and their parents when none of said parents have partial ownership of the pool or in anyway contribute to HOA dues.
It might seem petty, but if I'm paying $700/mo in building fees you damn for sure could not use my property for free.
Every building is different, but my child and I were just at a birthday party held at a Bethesda condo recently with 20 kids, loads of adults, and even live animals. The only people who weren’t there were the cops.
Was your host an owner?
Were other owners present with their kids?
Did the host make a reservation agreement with the board?
All that makes a difference. If there were live animals present, I guarantee your host at least contacted the board to make sure this was kosher, if not paid a fee.

Are they trespassing when they were invited by the condo owner? I don’t think that you know what trespassing means. Another phrase that you could look up - civil matter. You don’t call the police on people for swimming. You file a complaint with your HOA.
