But it does seem odd to choose Key with so many unknowns. If they do pick Key and it doesn't work out with extra supports or IEP, they've lost the charter and are back to IB anyway. Unless lightening strikes twice and they win the school lottery again in 2 years. The problem with Key is that it's still in the DCPS system and its overall instability in budgets, facilities, leadership, etc. If OP isn't worried about middle school and the child is happy where she is now, OK may not be that bad. (I thought OP's IB was Hearst.) [/quote]
