Spoken with medical doctors (not just weird websites written By anti-religious bigots or wellness gurus) for clarification when researching the subject. The point of most forms of FGM is to deny a woman sexual pleasure. It can cause lifetime pain, urinary problems, labor and delivery problems. Male circumcision is a totally different ball game.
