Why is it so hard to believe that your caloric intake is too high? Another thread has a similar issue, there op is going to check her thyroid, here 10lbs are because of the pill. I was on the pill, it didn't add 10lbs. Maybe 2,3. The whole culture is messed up, always something else is to blame.
Thyroid issues are real. I had hyperthyroidism and lost 20 pounds in a few weeks. I had my thyroid killed off, so if my Synthroid dose is too low, I gain weight. When I went off birth control, I lost 15 pounds in 6 months. However, diet is normally the only way. I lost 25 pounds over a few months by cutting carbs, sugar, eating mostly vegetables and protein and avoiding drinking any calories. It wasn’t fun. I was hungry. I went to bed hungry. I looked great, but I was miserable. I loosened my diet up, accepted the 10 extra pounds, and I am much happier. Menopause really made maintaining my weight very difficult.
They’re real but they are only the cause of unexplained weight issues for like 5-% of people. Most people gain weight because they’re eating too much. That’s it.
