I disagree.

While we are in one of the two mentioned above, a smaller system like FCPS provides teachers with more autonomy and as a result, students are much more resourceful and resilient.

I've seen growth in my own kids, as we left Mo Co over a year ago. Working PT over the summer and during the school year is encouraged, and according to my daughter, academics are a priority. She's find an academic cohort in other words, which wasn't the case in MCPS.

Maybe FCPS isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's been a good move for us and for others who have moved into our area.

I see this as MCPS’ biggest problem.  It is just too damn large.  Impossible to meet the needs of the students.  So it appears that the leadership has just stopped trying.  [/quote]
