That is flat out incorrect. There is no public school in the Washington Metropolitan area doing what the privates do with regard to more practice and playing. 
Public school parents are always looking for the exceptions rather than the norm. 20 or 30 out of dozens and dozens of public school rosters doesn't equal the 20 or 30 coming out of Bullis and Landon alone. You can talk about the reasons why but the numbers don't lie and public school apologists are always trying to make it out with the "you're saying I've got a chance" argument.[/quote]
