I took the walking into the water along with the burning of the bed/house to be failed suicide attempts. Both times she is thwarted by the appearance of another character.

I think so too, though the second time she clearly changed her mind. She seemed to walk by her husband contemptuously which I took to me she will be joining the resistance as she is able.[/quote]
