Er, no.  Geographically, Shepherd and Bancroft are significantly farther to Deal — by miles — than Lafayette.

Removing Shepherd only cuts at most 50 kids. It is a tiny school.[/quote]

So add up [i]multiple[/i], far-away schools that are much, much closer to another middle school.  For example:

Of the 5th graders taking PARCC last year …

Shepherd (47) + Bancroft (72) > Lafayette (97)
