[quote=Anonymous]There is no question that Trump deserves impeachment, for obstruction of justice if nothing else. But there is so much else that hasn’t been fully explored - Trump’s suspect visits with Putin (which no one is allowed to record or speak about), his financial ties to Russia, Kushner’s financial bailouts (which I find especially egregious), the attempted back channel communications with Russia, violations of the emoluments clause, and on and on. The country seems to think that all investigatory activity ended with the Mueller report, which mostly ends at the election. But Trump has had two years since then to sell out our country. The Trump cult insists that the dozens if not hundreds of highly questionable actions that Trump has taken as President are figments of our imaginations or just coincidences, when it’s obvious to any thinking person that they are not. Hell, Trump doesn’t even try hard to hide it. But I’m conflicted about impeachment. I have no question that it’s the right and necessary thing to do, but I’m uncertain about the political implications. I’ve read everything I can on both sides, and I’m more confused now than ever. Unfortunately, a large part of our country is so purposefully ignorant and, frankly stupid, that if the argument for impeachment can’t be reduced to a catchy soundbite or physical proof of treason, then they won’t buy it.
