My brother in law is fat and wants to lose weight. I ask him what he plans to do about it and oh yeah does he own a scale? No
Do you also ask him if he knows how to use a scale? Maybe you need to show him how?
once a week is good. Daily use is too often. "Never" is not enough. And yes there is always the HAES crowd, who are in their 20s and 30s and their weight hasn't caught up with them yet. There are pretty much no obese 80 year olds.
There are actually a fair amount of obese 80 year olds. They aren't morbidly obese but they are more than merely overweight. You might be surprised. There are also some 80 somethings who still drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes every day.
There are! So it is absolutely possible. We also can get a sunny 65+ degree day in January. But are you going to plan an outdoor wedding based on that chance?
I'd say that about 1/3 of the elderly weigh in the obese range. Again, this is not morbidly obese. I know that when I'm 80 something I'm going to eat whatever I want to and not feel an ounce of guilt. Take a look at some senior living Facebook pages and you'll see what I mean. You'll also see that most of the lightly obese are not the ones using walkers.
