In a city so determined to prove state's rights, weird that you would conflate federal and municipal politics. It would be awesome if there were more moderate, center Republicans and independents on our Council or for Mayor. In my books, Tony Williams whom everyone credits with reviving downtown was a typical DC Republican--socially moderate but a responsible fiscal steward. At this rate, when can we have a new Representative-for-life? Eleanor Holmes Norton has been in her perch a long while.
