That is a much tougher question to answer without an audit, and one that can't be answered by looking at tax returns since income is not the same as wealth. It was one of the first lessons taught in accounting class that it's quite normal for a business to keep two sets of books, one for taxes, and one for internal accounting - it's the third set of books that investors have to worry about.
