There was a huge blue wave in 2018– the biggest midterm landslide in recorded history. Dems won a huge share of the popular vote even though Republicans have rigged the system against the average American with gerrymandering and voter suppression and legalized dark money political bribery.

The point is that it’s irrelevant. He could release his taxes while under audit or not, and this law says the IRS must release them to Ways & Means whether he’s under audit or not.
