I keep my word and if I said I would be somewhere at a particular time and place, I'll be there. To re-confirm the day before seems to me to signify that what I said before didn't count, so I had to double-check. Sometimes women would text the day before to make sure we were still on, and other times they didn't show up because they assumed that I wasn't coming because I didn't confirm. But I figured that, if they wanted assurance, they could text me. And, moreso, if they didn't show after making a definite plan, I was happy, because I learned a lot about their character. [/quote]
