The Sun has a long and tragic history of racism. This is keeping in-kind with that history
There are a few of you who keep falsely accusing Hogan of racism. He is not racist. He has a black Lt. Governor. He has an Asian wife.
All the more proof. He's overcompensating, trying to hide behind his buddy and his wife. "Oh, I just CAN'T be a racist - some of my BEST friends are Black! And my wife is an Oriental, too!" Yeah no. He's as racist as trump.
No he's not. The only problem here is you and your fabrications. Your candidate of choice is a horrible political candidate. He has such a socialist agenda, but has shown absolutely no financial responsibility in discussing how to pay for his very expensive ideas. He would return us to the extremely expensive O'Malley days where we had 40 tax hikes over 8 years plus an increase in the state debt limit and a decrease in the state's credit rating. Jealous has even less financial acumen that O'Malley and could severely jeopardize the state's finances for decades to come. Under Jealous, the state is likely to see even more tax increases, even more wanton overspending, borrowing beyond our means and a further deterioration of the state's credit rating that could force us to pay a substantially higher amount in interest rates for decades. You could see an increase in taxes but a decrease in services because we're spending so much on paying down the deficit at a higher rating due to the dropping credit rating. Voting for Jealous is voting for a financial disaster.
1) there is nothing WRONG with a socialist democracy. It works just fine in every country in Europe. It will work equally fine here, too. Jealous is ahead of the curve, that's all. Personally, as someone who's been ahead of the curve myself, in terms of intelligence, in academia, in social trends, and in politics, I tend to support outliers, because we probably agree on many things. 2) Maryland taxes are laughably low. Artificially so. And we as a state can't progress if the means to fund the kind of programs we should be funding is kept artificially restricted. Our state and county tax rates should be at least double, at a minimum, to begin to approach a level where we could adequately fund some of the programs we should have in place. 3) there are lots of people who agree with Point #2, and for every racist who moves out of the state because a strong Black man was elected governor, a true progressive will move in to take their place. I applaud this. The fact is, there are plenty of people who will not balk at paying much more in taxes, because they know that that's how you build a successful socialist system. I would happily pay a twenty percent state and county rate, in addition to my 25 percent federal rate, because I know what that would mean to our state, and what it could offer us (in short, everything). That's a bargain to me.
This is one of the most amazing posts I’ve ever seen on DCUM. Congratulations in being so far ahead of the curve intelligence-wise!
