What is bone broth? That sounds gross.
It's basically stock but made with bones and not (necessarily) vegetables. It's one of the things people used to eat back when we weren't all eating processed crap all day.... back when people were much healthier than now.
This. It has protein in it which regular broth doesn't have. When you eat Keto your body loses water and I've found that bone broth (with it's protein and salt) is a good way to replenish in the morning. I also drink lots of water.
I've been doing Keto/IF for about 60 days and have lost 22lbs. After much research I decided to incorporate the bone broth. I got this kind. https://www.amazon.com/Beef-Bone-Broth-Bare-Bones/dp/B077GH84HL/ref=sr_1_18_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1540440656&sr=8-18&keywords=bone+broth I fast from 8pm until noon next day (16/8). If I drink this in the morning (9am) is that breaking my fast? And if it does, does it really matter? Will it make a difference? If anyone can chime in, please do.
I'm doing what you're doing except I drink Pacifica. I have googled this question about whether or not drinking bone broth would break a fast and have found that most agree that it does not. Maybe down the road when you are working on taking off the last 5 pounds or so that small margin will matter but I have found that it does not matter. I've still got a ways to go before I reach that point. It's important to stay hydrated and keep your electrolytes in balance. Bone broth helps you do that. I tested my morning urine with a Keto strip and I am definitely in Ketosis, the scale indicates that along with my hunger level (or lack thereof). I'm down about 10 pounds in a little under a month. Very little in the way of exercise, just working on increasing my steps throughout the day.
