Please get a survey...assuming if you have not done that.   In Va for example, VDOT owns the right of way from edge of the road to your property line.  There are also utility easements and depending on
when your plat was sub divided and/or recorded, it is hard to tell.   I know...I know....but best to get a survey.[/quote]

That the state has a right of way, ot that a utility easement exists, does not mean that the general public is permitted to go on the land whenever they please.  Entirely different things.  [/quote]
