You don't know at all.[/quote] DP who has been in-house and outside employment counsel. Yes, you do often know. You would be amazed the number of times people admit to false claims when talking to friends on social media or even their company email. Plenty of other times, you can prove major aspects of the case are false, for example a claim an employee was harassed at a conference the alleged harasser did not attend. Others have timelines and other factors where it is exceedingly unlikely the complaint has merits. Of course, there are also cases where it is obvious the person is guilty, and plenty of cases where the evidence is ambiguous.[/quote]
