Many complaints that are of at best dubious merits are settled, often for nominal amounts which just aren't worth fighting over, particularly if the settlement involves the problem employee leaving. And complaints would only be public if an actual lawsuit was filed. There are many stages where a complaint would not be public and one reason these cases sometimes settle quickly is that neither side wants a public lawsuit.[/quote]
