I don't see how I am proving your point. DD, and some of her teammates, were not merely interested in switching clubs.  They wanted to see if they had any better options than Stars Black.  Some girls did/some didn't. But the only way they knew what their options were, and if any were better than Stars Black, was by trying out for the various clubs during that brief window in August.  Tryouts at the end of June don't let the girls know what their options are, unless their parents are willing to let their daughters try out for other clubs in August and forfeit the $$ they've already paid to Stars.

I agree with you about Stars Blue unless you have a girl who is worried about getting moved down to Black.  I've seen that happen to at least 6 girls now and at least one of them then decided to leave Stars completely for another club, and this was after paying Stars an attending some practices.[/quote]
