We had to be strategic when coming up with 10 common app schools when my D applied last year. We limited to 2 Ivy Leagues and focused the balance on top SLACs. As anticipated, she met with greater success with SLACs, including with additional scholarships.  [b]Several SLACs became cheaper than state schools. There are schools that welcome Asian students - and even will invest in students' education[/b]. [/quote]
