Good. Claiming to be a boy when you are a girl, or vice versa, does not make it so.
Even that’s gender. They are now claiming that you can switch from male to female, not just man to woman .
Though its called gender reassignment surgery, I think the way gender and sex are used these days, sex reassignment would be more accurate? Since gender is used for social identity, but sex for physical reality. Surgery does change physical reality.
no surgery changes your chromosomes
Except the gov’t doesn’t assign sex based on chromosomes. If they did, we’d have six or seven different sexes. Instead, the government accepts the word of a doctor who —for 99% of us— took a quick peek between our legs when we were 3 seconds out of the birth canal. Only a few newborns have testing to clarify gender and even then, there’s only legally an A or B option regardless of what their chromosomes show. I’m a cisgender female married to a cismale and mom to cisgender kids, but I took college human anatomy, genetics, and sociology so I know how arbitrary male and female designations can be on a purely chromosomal level.
Intersex people are s tiny minority of people claiming to be trans
which is not relevant to PP's point, which is that sex is not based on chromosomes, but on genitalia. Which, in fact, CAN be changed. And are also not the same as "gender".
An inverted penis isn’t a vagina
I have no experience with the surgery constructed vagina of a male to female transexual, so I will defer to yours. Did it feel different?
